Trauma Designation

The State of Nevada EMS program moved the trauma designation application to our online application portal, ImageTrend. If you are applying for or renewing a trauma center designation you must create an online account here. Once you create your account contact the EMS Program at HealthEMS@Health.nv.gov and request access to your respective Trauma Center.

 

To pursue Level IV Trauma Center designation in Nevada, a hospital must:

  • Be a critical access hospital.

  • Be located more than 80 miles outside the boundaries of a county with two or more existing trauma centers.

  • Complete the online trauma designation application through the Nevada EMS Program.

  • Successfully pass a site visit and verification review as part of the designation process.

  • Demonstrate that the hospital would serve an area with a shortage of trauma care through the State’s assessment of need.
